Now Planning — Field Day 2014!!
You might notice that the timer widget on the right side of the page is now counting down from 367 days. That’s all the time between now and Field Day 2014 that we have left to plan! Field Day is always the fourth full weekend of June, beginning at 1800 UTC Saturday, which would be June 28, 2014.
If you have comments about what went right or what went wrong with Field Day 2013 (now in the history books) you are invited to Thursday Breakfast at Chelsea’s, located next door to the Red Cross Center starting at 8:15 June 27th. Those comments will be used to assist in planning for next year.
Club Meeting July 8, 7 PM, Red Cross
The next club meeting will be Monday July 8 at 7 PM. The meeting will be at the Red Cross facility in Middletown.
There will be a presentation on LiFePO4 battery technology by Bob, WB4SON, describing how it is a significant technology improvement over older Lead Acid, NiCad, and NiMH, and how it is safer than other Lithium Ion technologies.
Want a lifetime of past QST Magazines?
Bob Emerson, KA1IPR, has asked if anyone in the club would be interested in his collection of QST Magazines dating back many years? Interested parties can contact him using the email address on the Member Only page.
Bob’s health is improving and he is looking forward to the Field Day picnic.
