ARRL Club Commission Program

One of the benefits of being an ARRL Affiliated Club is having the ability to participate in the Club Commission Program. This program allows NCRC to earn a commission for enrolling new and renewing ARRL members.  New memberships will earn NCRC $15 and renewals $5 commissions. Members can renew at any time without losing time. If your renewal is normally in July and you renew in May, the time is added to your July date.

Participation in the program is simple:

  1. Each new or renewing ARRL member should print and fill out the membership application for Affiliated Clubs.
  2. Each new or renewing ARRL member should print the NCRC 2023 ARRL Club Commission Form. and indicate in the blue box whether they are a new or renewing member.
  3. Payment in FULL can be made to ARRL by check, credit card, or cash.
  4. The new or renewing ARRL member should then snail mail both forms with FULL payment to ARRL for processing.  Mailing address for the ARRL is indicated at the bottom of the forms.

It’s that simple!  ARRL will process the forms: you’ll be an ARRL member and NCRC will receive a commission check from ARRL.

In the spirit of 2023 and ARRL’s Year Of the Volunteers, the ARRL is offering the additional promotion to clubs using the Club Commission Program:

For every five new members signed through the Club Commission Program through the end of 2023, ARRL will give NCRC a copy of The ARRL Handbook, which will be used as a prize during an upcoming meeting or event.

Club Meeting Monday January 10 at 7 PM

Hi everyone!

NCRC will have a Zoom meeting on Monday January 10 at 7 PM.  Invitations are being emailed Sunday afternoon.

In addition to our short business meeting, we will discuss Winter Field Day, which will no longer be at Glen Park due to the COVID outbreak in RI – Anyone can use their home station, or setup an outdoor station using their own call and still give credit to the club aggregate score (set the “CLUB” item to “W1SYE” in your log submission).

We will also experiment with a new Zoom feature that allows us to break into small groups – exactly what happens during a physical meeting so that we can get to know each other and discuss our goals. And we will introduce a new interview segment that we will have from time to time so that members can get to know each other better.

Happy New Year!

NCRC Meeting is TUESDAY October 10th

Our next regular NCRC meeting will be held on TUESDAY October 10th at 7:30 PM at KVH.  NOTE:  It is on TUESDAY because of the Columbus Day holiday.

The meeting will begin with a live teleconference with Bob Naumann, W5OV, about the K3LR super contest station.  Following the teleconference we will have our regular business meeting which will include the second reading of bylaws changes plus a vote on them, as well as our final chance to discuss the upcoming JOTA event (October 20/21/22).

Hope to see you on TUESDAY October 10

NCRC Meeting Monday June 12, 7 PM at KVH

Hello,

Please remember that Monday June 12 is our regular meeting at 7 PM, at KVH.

In addition to a brief business meeting, we will be discussing the final Field Day preparations.  If you haven’t signed up for Saturday’s dinner yet, or even if you know you aren’t going, we would appreciate you taking a few seconds to fill out the form on this webpage linked below.  Calling 100 members is quite a task, and those that fill in the form really help us out!  If you aren’t going type a zero 0 in the number attending field.

Field Day 2017 – Please Sign Up for Dinner Sat June 24

After the business meeting, there will be the first of a number of reviews of logging software.  Monday’s meeting will cover N3FJP’s Amateur Contact Log, which also happens to be the software we will be using at the GOTA station for Field Day.
