NCRC’s Winter Field Day submission was completed today. We had a total of 728 contacts. All possible multipliers were achieved as well.

It’s a Wrap – Great Winter Field Day
Hats off to the WFD Committee, which did a great job this year. Rumor has it that the club had more QSOs than last year, and maxed out all possible bonus multipliers. We look forward to hearing how things worked out. Thanks to everyone involved!

WFD 2024 is in the books!
I want to thank everyone who helped with Winter Field Day 2024. NCRC operated 1O phone only (1 station, outdoors) this year instead of the usual 2O phone & CW. We completed 748 HF Contacts, 1 satellite QSO, and sent and received 1 Winlink Message. We did not have the best weather this year. Weather was fine on Saturday, but Sunday was raining all day and cold. However, it was nice and cozy in ticket booth shack. Midnight to 8 am we had no operators so we had to shut down the station. Again, Thank You to all.

Willy W1LY Featured in The Jamestown Press
Willy W1LY was featured on page 11 of the February 9th edition of The Jamestown Press, in a nice story that described his entry into the hobby, as well as the club’s activities during JOTA, WFD and SFD.
