NCRC’s Winter Field Day submission was completed today. We had a total of 728 contacts. All possible multipliers were achieved as well.
February NCRC Meeting: Mon Feb 10 7 PM
Our regular business meeting will be held on Monday February 10th at 7 PM at Saint Barnabas Church in Portsmouth RI. As per usual, doors will open at 6:30 PM.
Please find a meeting agenda attached. We are focusing on keeping the business part of the meeting as short as possible, and starting up programs to help all of us learn new things with the hobby.
It’s a Wrap – Great Winter Field Day
Hats off to the WFD Committee, which did a great job this year. Rumor has it that the club had more QSOs than last year, and maxed out all possible bonus multipliers. We look forward to hearing how things worked out. Thanks to everyone involved!
January Meeting: Monday Jan 13 at 7 PM
NCRC will hold its Business Meeting on Monday January 13 at 7:00 PM. Doors will open at 6:30 PM and the meeting will be held in the lower floor of the Church (our usual location – enter at the door between the church and Parish Hall), 1697 East Main RD, Portsmouth RI.
Beside a short business meeting, we will be discussing several upcoming on-air activities that members can participate in: Winter Field Day, School Club Roundup, and Parks On The Air, all in the hopes of learning what YOU want to do in 2025.
Year-end Party Was Great
On Monday evening, December 9th, the NCRC hosted the annual Year-End Dinner Party at the Hometown Tavern in Warren, RI. We had a packed dining room on a very rainy night. But the rain didn’t prevent members from enjoying a robust menu of buffet style dishes and cocktails ala-carte. The perennial Yankee Swap was a bit hit providing fun and frivolity for all who participated. Special thanks to Linda Maclean for M.C. duties during the Swap. Hope to see you there next year.
