A new slate of officers was elected during last night’s club meeting.  The officers are as follows:

President: Jim Sammons, KA1ZOU
Vice President: Rick Brendlinger, N3RWB
Treasurer: John Mills, K1JSM
Secretary: Bob Beatty, WB4SON

In addition to the officers listed above, the Executive Committee will consist of the immediate past-President Willy Maclean, W1LY, and two voting members of the club: Sam Sanborn, N1SRV and Pete Lawson, W1LAB

Many thanks to Ed Gossling and Willy MacLean, our departing officers and to Dave Brown, our departing Executive Board member, for all their help and guidance during 2014, a year that saw fantastic growth and on-the-air opportunities for our members, along with the creation of NCECT.  The impact of NCRC was felt far and wide this past year!

Forrest Ficke, a student at Rogers High School (Newport) has been working to establish a Ham Radio Club at the school.  He’s looking for anyone that might have ham gear that would be usable (power supplies, rigs, coax, antennas, etc.).  If you might be able to help him with this, his contact info is as follows:

Members are reminded that the annual party will be held December 8, at the Mainstay Inn, 151 Admiral Kalbfus RD, Newport, RI (across the street from Newport Slots). There will be a cash bar at 6PM, followed by dinner at 7PM. The cost for the buffet dinner (featuring a steamship round beef roast) is $30. Don’t forget to bring a gift for the Yankee Swap.
