We are saddened to announce the passing of David E. Cain, W1DEC

After moving to Jamestown, David became 9 year member of NCRC and participated in many of our activities including Field Day and the Outdoor Adventure.  His love of and participation in many sailing activities were much appreciated by the numerous mariners in NCRC. His expertise in Emergency Management operations was often provided to club activities.

A final call for W1DEC was made on the Wednesday HF net.

Weatherly In 12 Meter Parade Today

Not a contact on 12m but Newport and Newport County have some awesome days for looking at Yachts.  KC1NFM is always on the watch for interesting events in the harbor and reports them to the 2m W1SYE net.   This 12 Meter Yacht crew exchanges waves with the well-wishers on the dock.   The KA-10 sail number on a hat was also reported as found in the bay. Enjoy.
