W1SYE Repeater On The Air

Thanks to the efforts of Dave W2DAN and Mark W1MBF, the W1SYE 2-meter repeater is back on the air.  Dave and Mark went to the site at 9 AM this morning (Oct 8th) and within about 90 minutes had the new Bridgecom repeater and cans installed and operating.  Initial testing indicates an improvement in receive sensitivity and better sounding transmit audio.

The original GE MASTR II, over 60 years old, has been intermittent for the past month or so.  It was restored to operation and remains at the repeater site ready to swap over should it be required in the future.

Open-Mike: Members Share a memorable QSL Card story

Please join the NCRC as club members gather to meet & greet, with an Open-Mike style presentation where club members get 1-3 minutes to share their own memorable QSL cards and hear from others. What makes a QSL card memorable to you? (QSL cards seem to be having a resurgence. The recent 13 Colonies team in MA printed up and sent out almost 1000 cards for that one Special Event this July 2022. Who says Amateur Radio isn’t going strong!?!)
