Participants will leave with a tape measure Yagi antenna that is highly directional and having a deep null toward the rear.

Despite losing a large chunk of time on Saturday due to horrible weather (hail and thunderstorms) and equipment failures, Newport County Radio Club finished 2nd place nationally in our 2A category. That is our highest finishing position in history!
We finished in 4th place in the New England Division when looking at all transmitter categories (2, 3, and 11)
And 1st place in RI
The next NCRC meeting will be held on Monday November 11th — yep that Veteran’s Day, and KVH is open.
The primary focus of the business meeting will be the election of officers, discussion of the December Christmas Party, and upcoming Winter Field Day events. There is no planned presentation, but a short ham-related video might be shown.
Last night, Paul K1YBE held another Hands-on Radio Event; a workshop on the nanoVNA ($50 to $80 VNA claiming 0 to 900 MHz a 0 to 900 MHz range). After an introduction, the attendees broke into several small groups to work on installing the software, calibrating their VNAs, and using them to measure some different antennas.
