The Newport County Radio Club wrapped up this year’s FIELD DAY weekend on Sunday, June 28, 2026. The 3-Day event was once again staged at the beautiful Glen Park in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. The weather was pleasant throughout and the spirits of nearly 50 participating members was high. Please enjoy the photos and video of the event captured by Keith Henry – KC1LPV.

FIELD DAY PICNIC – SATURDAY, JUNE 27, 2026
We will be having a picnic on Saturday June 27 from 4-6 pm. The menu is Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, and various cold salads plus desert. It is FREE for all NCRC members and their family members. Bringing your kids/grandkids is highly recommended, and they can make on-air contacts from our Get On The Air (GOTA) station, located in the big white tent across from the pavilion. It’s time to start planning Field Day, 2026!
This year, once again we will be hosting Summer Field Day on the grounds of the Glen in Portsmouth RI. Setup begins on Friday, June 26th. Operations runs from 2:00PM Saturday, June 27th thru 1:59PM on Sunday, June 28th.

Satellite Operation –
The satellite station will be on the air by 2 PM on Saturday. Unless there are issues, the station will be taken off the air after RS–44 pass at 3:30 PM. Note there is a very narrow time window for each satellite pass (less than 10 minutes) so expect the operator to not be able to answer questions during those times.
