{"id":8455,"date":"2024-10-10T12:58:10","date_gmt":"2024-10-10T16:58:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/w1sye.org\/?p=8455"},"modified":"2024-10-17T17:18:45","modified_gmt":"2024-10-17T21:18:45","slug":"october-14th-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/w1sye.org\/?p=8455","title":{"rendered":"October 14th Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our next business meeting will be held on October 14th at St Barnabas Church (<span class=\" d-b fw-n lh-18 fz-14 fc-refblack\">1697 E Main Rd <\/span><span class=\" d-ib fw-n lh-18 fz-14 fc-refblack\">Portsmouth, RI<\/span>).\u00a0 Doors will open around 6 pm, and the meeting will begin at 7 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Members will be receiving an email with more details, but the purpose of this meeting is to present the Nomination Committee slate of officers for 2025.\u00a0 This year we are blessed with an abundance of volunteers, and as such an election will be required to select FIVE Executive Committee members.\u00a0 Nominations can also be made for any position from the floor until the close of the October business meeting.<\/p>\n<p>After the business meeting, Jim Sammons, KA1ZOU, will be giving a presentation on Fox Hunting.<\/p>\n<p>The current slate of officers for 2025 from the Nomination Committee are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>President \u2013 Jim Sammons, KA1ZOU<\/li>\n<li>Vice President \u2013 Jim Sendrak, KC1LYG<\/li>\n<li>Treasurer \u2013 John Jackman, N1SMX<\/li>\n<li>Secretary \u2013 Arnaldy Medina, KP4AMC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Bylaws allow FIVE elected EC members, so members will make their selection from the below list of eight candidates at the November meeting:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nancy Austin, KC1NEK<\/li>\n<li>Sean Baker, K1SDB<\/li>\n<li>Bob Beatty, WB4SON<\/li>\n<li>Evan Bowen, K1GEA<\/li>\n<li>Nolan Byrne, K1PRU<\/li>\n<li>Willy Maclean, W1LY<\/li>\n<li>David Neal, W1DAN<\/li>\n<li>Jay Nuzum, N1CFY<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Per the bylaws, Paul Fredette, K1YBE, will be serving as well as the immediate past president.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our next business meeting will be held on October 14th at St Barnabas Church (1697 E Main Rd Portsmouth, RI).\u00a0 Doors will open around 6 pm, and the meeting will begin at 7 pm.
