Yes, Virginia, there will be a NCRC Field Day 2020, despite the current pandemic situation.  That said, this Field Day will be VASTLY different than prior years; much closer to a Winter Field Day than Summer.  Click here to see a copy of his presentation during the May meeting.

We will be setting up three stations at Glen Park: CW Tent, SSB Tent, and VHF Tent. A decision on GOTA has not been made at this point, but that depends on the availability of operators and Coach/Loggers.

Uppermost Tent is Phone. The VHF station will be in the ticket booth (North end of oval fenced area). If GOTA is held, it will be on the cement slab in the middle. The CW Tent will be located near the horse stalls

• Setup and take-down will be done by two people and no volunteers are requested at this time.  Antennas will be simple wire antennas (like Winter Field Day).
• Only ONE person will be allowed in a Tent at a time, and will be required to have personal PPE as well as headphones.  They will be individually responsible for cleaning their area immediately upon entering the tent.
• There will be NO feeding or social activity of any kind
• ALL Field Day 2020 operation will require careful scheduling and commitments to ensure that things operate safely and smoothly.
