Newport County Radio Club, under the leadership of John King, WA1ABI, has formed a Newport County Emergency Communication Team (NCECT). John has been holding training classes since February, and as of last night, 11 Members took and passed the final exam. Ted Wroble, W1GRI, was elected NCECT Team Leader. The Broadband Ham Net – High Speed Multimedia Mesh Network symposium planned for this Sunday April 13th has been postponed until April 27th.
The next club meeting will be held this coming Monday at 7 PM. It will be held at KVH Manufacturing facility located at 75 Enterprise Drive, Middletown, RI.
Our presentation will be on Propagation tools given by John, WA1ABI.
The National Weather Service will be offering Skywarn Training on Thursday May 22, 2014, from 7 PM until 10 PM at the Tiverton Emergency Operation Center (Fire Station), on 85 Main Street, Tiverton RI.
